rip 4 now

its the same deal i was on the interstate doing 70 in 3rd at about 5500 rpms then all of a sudden the car jerks forward and i lose all power im 5th gear. so at first i thought i busted a vaccum line or it popped off. no i blue all 3 apex seals on the rear rotor so now im out looking for a motor. i could go t2 and have to track down a rear end, or i can stick to n/a. if ne one on here still has a good n/a their willing to come off of for pretty cheap let me now asap or a t2 rear end for that matter. this really sucks!

Just out of curiosity...

Why were you pushing 70mph in third gear on the interstate?

thats not really pushing third gear, I hit 70 in second gear all the time when autocrossing, 5500 rpm shouldn't hurt nuffin

Competing on the track and cruising on the interstate are two different things I should think although I agree, 5500 shouldn't be a big deal.
But anyway, I was just curious.

it's not the end of the world though, the OP has some builders not to far away there in SC if he wants to the engine off to Ernst at RX7world.com (who is in SC I think), or for a bit more shipping to Kevin Landers of Rotary Resurrection fame in Tennessee - he can be a bit on the busy side
OR find someone selling an engine on the parts forum
