Rich lean screw
Ok, my basic problem is that my car will not idle without missing like mad, unless the R/L screw is atleast 3/4 above middle, and the richer i go, the less missing. This would be fine, accept the its kinda impossible for it to pass smog like this. My gut tells me vacume leak, but i cant find one anywhere. New gaskets on all manifolds with gasket sealer. silicon hoses on everything but the vacumes spiders, and the solenoids ( both apear to be in good condition) I did remove the primary injectors without using new gromits, but the old gromits were in good condition. When i was running a LIM with the 6 port actuators removed it would idle fine at the stock screw location, but i put the actuator LIM back on for smog and now it doesnt like anytrhing but pig rich, whihc is the opposite of what id expect. Could it be leaking through the actuators? the rubber gromits on them were completly toast, hardend, wore down and cracked, but ive never heard of the actuators causing a vac leak. what do you guys think? how could i test it? maybe smear petrolium jelly all over actuators and see if it goes away? Thax for responces.

I have no pic...so here goes.
Disconnec the Variable Resistor. Here, you'll see what appears to be a face. 2 prongs going long and 1 going wide. Right. Okay:
A-C: (Left eye-mouth) 0.5-4.5 resistance
B-C: (Right eye-mouth) 0.5-4.5 resistance
Excuse the anology. Alternatively, download the FSM found at www.fc3s.org

I guess I don't understand why you need to put them back on for the smog. The 6ports and actuators are not an emission control part but a performance part.

bad acv? crossed vacuum line? when you have to move that screw all the way to rich you have a vacuum leak, lean means you arent getting air pump air to the exhaust ports
