Just be sure to remove ALL of that rust before putting some stuff over it. I think it would be just worse to cover it. Even seen a car that had some kind of goop stuff pourred over the rust ? Just make it worse, and you cannot see it before it's too late. Happend to me with one of my old cars.... (1989 crappy civic) Well, beeing in montreal really doesn't help with rust, so much snow and salt on the roads and pretty hard winters.

anyone ever thought about rhino lining the exterior of an FC???
pros: no more rock chips, no more paint damamge due to keys, comes in black lol
cons: 1/4 inch thick.....heavy, will prolly create issues with the doors...
what are your thoughts?

I dunno about rhino loinignbut it soudns thick and heavy as hell. You should look up aaron cakes turboed n/a "TIINA" thread. He coats the whole chassis in POR15 a nearly indistructable chemical that can be painted over rust.
I personally have coated the insides of my fenders with anti-rust spray paint. I didnt keep the car long enough to see how it held up though.

I just emailed Rhino Lining yesterday asking if they have any materials appropriate for undercarriages in New England weather. I'll post on Monday or Tuesday if I hear back from them.

I did my whole bottom with that stuff, nice hard plastic surface now. I undercoated it then spray the rhino stuff on top after it dried, turned out great. BTW I dont drive my car in the winter. IS NO rust on my car and thats the way I like it. Of course I replaced my heat shields so it wont effect the plastic under the shields.
