I have an S4 N/A... before i took the engine out for the rebuild it ran off 1 rotor (rear rotor blown apex seal) i held it to the floor just siting there took it up to.. im pritty sure it stoped at 7900 rpm. im doing a port job and rebuild should be done in a few months. it had an intake and hollow cats
it might be interesting to note that the s4 tacho over-reads. so when you are doing about 7100rpm on the tacho, the eccentric shaft is outputting about 6500~ approximately.
Thats how mine looked on the dyno anyway. Down low its fairly accurate, but the higher you go the less accurate it gets.

Reving over redline is bad for any car.
Alot of people say this not so for a rotary but I guarantee the more you redline that car the shorter the life expectancy.
Once you redline a car doesnt mean its done for, but repeted redlining is not smart.
