reviving a rotory...
Okay...time for my new 13B powered go-cart to come to life...finally got most of my other projects turned out and I need a fun-break.
Anyways...I got an 86 that's been sitting for a lil while...about 3 years. The engine in it had GREAT compresion when I got it but I got it for interior parts not mechanical parts. I always meant to go pull the motor but never did. Anyways, I checked it recently and it has zero compression leading me to believe that the apex seals are froze up. Right now I got oil dripping into the trailing plug holes to kinna lubricate the seals but I want to know what else I can do to get it back into semi running condition.

if it had good compression before then the apex seals are likely stuck Marvel Mystery Oil is good to use which is kinda like ATF but not as corosive to the rubber....did you see for yourself that it had good compression?

hmm. this is cool how are you planning to make it work in a go kart? would you go carb, or how would you hook up the ecu and stuff?
I've been wanting to build a chassis, and stick in one of my entire spare drivetrains from my 87' N/A that's now a TII. it'd be a far stretch from a "go kart"
anyway, I was about to start trying to find someone who would trade their 12a engine, or some carb rotary for my 13b, but if I could use my 13b, that would be even better. so I'd like to know how you were planning on doing it.
and yeah, try MMO.
