reverse lights
anyone know how to wire up the reverse lights for a 90 vert n/a? i am doing a 5-speed swap and it has kept me stumped for two days now, i wouldn't care about it if i didn't need a brake tag, if anyone knows which pug it is and where all the wires got to please help me out, (the tranny is from a 89 if that makes a diff)

ok i understand that but where do the wires go from there???? (talking about all those conectors next to the starter that went to the auto ) third day and still no luck (only had about an hour to play with it though) also another Q, to take off the steering colum to change the pedals , do i have to take any extra precautions with the air bag? (i am terrified this thing will blow up in my face)

I guess I am not following you for where the wires go... they go from the cars harness to the tranny connectors.
as far as the airbag:
Make sure the battery has been disconnected for at least 15 minutes before unplugging the air bag, and that the key is not turned on while the airbag is unplugged.

ok another Q if i reconnect the battery while the air bag is diconected to check all my rewireing i done under there (steering colum is removed), then disconect the batery and hook it all back up (airbag) it should not deploy right??? (just want to be safe about it, cause i did alot of rewireing under there and i want to make sure it was done right before i cover it all up)

No it should not deploy BUT it will more than likely put an error code into the airbag system.
And since those old Ford airbag CPUs that Mazda used in the FC and early Miatas generally do not clear error codes until the code is downloaded into the SS tool, your air bag system will be useless and you will have an airbag light on.
In other words do not power up the car with the bag unplugged unless you wish for the SRS to display an error code until you take it into the dealer and have it reset or the SRS CPU replaced.

well we got one of those things that plug in to the cpu and all that other **** to clear the codes and run test on the emission, so i am not worried about that. just wanted to make sure it did go off thanks Icemark

our school has alot of wacko things (a whole room full) that do this ****, alot of it donated to the school (we r also getting a dyno for the christmas holiday , r that is what we hear from the teacher) we also got 4 donated cars to mess with (which we r getting rid of and getting 11 new cars to fool around with) and if we don't have the docoder for the air bag i'm sure the teacher (use to work at ford) could hook me up somehow
