Exclamation Rev-limiter @ 5500rpm!?..

ok, i had a simular problem to this but it's different, to sum it up easily, if i go to launch my car bounces off some magical rev limiter @ around 5000-5500rpm and it actually makes boost, but, i dont have a rev-limiter installed, and also, if i go to launch and sloooowly rev. the car past 5500rpm it'll go and i can launch at the RPM i want....

so basically, i dont understand why it would do this or what would cause it, any idea's?, i dont want to use it as one and have my engine blow....

no, it's only when i'm sitting parked or stopped in neutral that it does it, it's not when there's load on the car, but like a previous thread i do get a hesitation at about 5000-5500rpm if i'm on the gas....

this "rev-limiter" problem only happens when i'm free-revving the engine....
