Question Rev Limit I Need More

Ok, I have a friend with a first gen and it has no rev limit. Is there any way I can do this to my car I have an 87 gxl and I want to be able to go past red line. Also I Have no cats just a 2.5in race pipe to some mufflers.

unless you have rotors that are milled for higer RPMs (aka race clearance rotors) your gonna run you apex seals into the housing when the eccentric shaft decides to flex also, unless your car has some pretty big mods, your hp peak should be under redline

There is no point in revving it over 7000 unless you want to wear it out faster.

Aye. It's even pointless to rev a stock 1st-gen beyond about 6500. They don't have rev limiters because it would have cost too much to add one

What exactly happens when you hit the rev limiter? besides the little buzzer thing.

You're wasting your time on a stock port (hell even a street port) engine, cause the power drops like a rock after 8kRPM anyways.&nbsp Why you want to induce unnecessary stress on the engine just to claim you can rev that high?&nbsp How old are you?&nbsp 16?
