Rev
Rev
Hello to all. I put my car on the road yeserday...since the nice weather is here.
Since I had the car, when I started it, it would rev up to 3000 rpm's then eventually it goes down. Now she only rev up to 2000 rpm's...
Maybe my TPS needs to be adjusted ??
I verified the TPS when the car was hot, with my tester, and it seemed ok because I plugged my tester in, only one light was one "not two" ??
Any help is appreciated.

The sensor which causes the 3000 rev, located at the bottom of the radiator, looks for coolant temps of below 60 degrees or so. If it is higher, the air bypass solenoid is not enabled thus no 3000 rpm rev on startup.

Thanks. I live in Canada. yesterday it was about 7 celcius (about 20 some degrees). So it should of kicked in. Plus it was the first time starting the car since last November.

As the car gets warm the cold start procedure will Dissipate. So as the car gets hot,the car may rev to say, only 1500 .when it is fully warm it will just start up and then go to idle.(750 plus or minus 10%).
