broke my steering wheel sensor.

can i just unplug it so my car stops beeping or what.

its a 88 turboII with a s5 swap. no airbad no vert.

If you don't replace the sensor what choices do you have but to remove the plug to try to stop the beeping? Also, how many wires are there in the plug?
