I got this little restrictor paper airflow dealie thats ment to stop pressure spikes, well I have been trying it out in my map sensor and it seems to be working great!, has anyone ever used one of these before.

Does this need to be in the line for the sensor to work properly. I don't have one and it is not running well when it reaches boost. What do these look like. I have one way valves that I can place in the line, is this the same thing?

No, a check valve is not the same thing. All the restrictor pill is is a small plastic "pill" with a tiny hole in it. I made my own by drilling a 1/32" hole through a little plastic piece I had. The reduced opening size smooths out pressure transitions, so the engine can perform smoother when going to and from vacuum/atmospheric pressure/boost.
