Replacing oil cooler lines with Mazda Comp. Braided Steel lines

Anybody have any tips? I bought mazdacomp. braided steel lines and I can't get them routed so that they are not touching anything. I have the A/C still on my car and the long line hits the bottom of the bracket. The short line rubs the A/C line that comes out from under the A/C compressor.

I dont think you are going to be able to keep them from touching anything. I bought a set of braided lines and they are touching a few things, but I dont think it will be a problem, they dont move much.

What is the benefit of replacing the stock lines?

If there is nothing wrong with your old lines, then there is almost no benefit besides looks. But if your old lines are leaking, like many are nowadays, then they are a good upgrade. First off they are cheaper than the stock ones, about half the price. Second, they dont have the same leaking potential as the stock ones since they dont have a hard line going into the soft hose. They are braided hose the whole length. Mazdatrix sells two versions, the Racing Beat ones which require AN style fittings, and another kind which uses the stock style fittings. I have the stock fitting ones.

Exactly what masterrx said. Mine were leaking, these were about $126.00 for both lines which was about half the price of the original hoses.

PS. The braided steel line from Mazdacomp does NOT have a braided stainless jacket on the outside...it's covered by a rubber jacket. I thought they were going to have a stainless jacket.
