Replacing hoses and lines

I've got everything apart in my engine bay now, and want to replace all of the hoses and lines that have been getting baked and oil soaked for the past 22 years.

Is there a comprehensive list of all of these replacables floating around somewhere? It sure would save me some time.

i suggest you pick up a haynes manual and download the Factory Service Manual. i'm currently replacing vacuum lines in my seven and i couldn't of done it without em both. you can download the FSM from the 2nd generation FAQ.

Pick up an assorted pack of silicon vacuum hose from your local speed shop and then just cut and replace the lines one by one.

Make sure you slice vertically at the nipple (where the hoses connect) because your lines are probably hard and seized due to the age of the hose. If you are not careful, you may snap the plastic nipples for some places such as the "rats nest", I lost one solenoid there lol.

I had the same question as you about where can I see a completed engine shot of the vacuum lines so I didn't have to read the complex diagram in the FSM. After you find a few hoses from the FSM, follow them around the engine bay, you'd be surprised how interconnected they are, you'll be changing tons in no time.
