Replacing headlight motor...help!

Alright guys the car is a 91' GTU. Drivers side headlight motor stoppped working and I bought a replacement. When the motor arrived I quickly noticed it wasn't exactly the same as it had a relay between the motor and the connector (first pic is the original/broken one and the second is the replacement I got). Plugged in the replacement and it didn't worked. Checked the relay and it is working alright (it moves the lil' arm when you apply power to it, appears without its cover in the pic below). The only way I could make the motor turn was wiring a jumper to make the white/red cable bypass the relay but then the motor wouldn't stop turning.

Any help greatly appreciated!! Thanks again!!
