Replacing Flash to Pass Lenses

Has anyone taken out their flash to pass lenses and replaced them with like a wire mesh to add air flow.... Im already missing on cover... should i get a new one or just take the other one off and make more engine flow?

Also... do cold air boxes REALLY help THAT much??

your getting no more airflow into the engine then you were with them on, keep them there. look where the air goes..straight into the light..then behind the light..guess where it goes..into the frame. sooo...it only ends up going through the radiator and even so doesnt add enough air to make a difference.

you could make some ducting in there to go around the head lights and get a cooling effect.

that'd be a pretty complex duct. Just take the other one off till you can replace the one you lost/broke/whatever. Airflow isn't going to be significant, no matter what you do with those.

well it is worth something. If he had a nice cone intake with a cold air box sealed off nicely and he cut a hole into the metal infront of the filter and routed the duct there that would give it really fresh air. Specially at 80 or 100 MPH

yeah i like that car. I want to do that but the only thing the mesh is good for other than looks is to keep rocks out of your head lamps. I have suffered two prijectile impacts on my head lights since I have owned my FC and that sucked. 12 head lamps are a bitch to replace.
