i have a blown 86 gxl, i want to buy a s4 TII with no engine if i get a s4 turbo short block how many parts can i swap over to the TII from my 86 i understand i have to buy a turbo and a manifold but are the injectors, intake, pullys, alt. ect. all compatable. what i want to do is get this car running so that i can use it everyday and when i have more money ill buy better parts.

I think they're both rotaries! other than that, nothing

like icemark said, eshaft, some seals, and the pullies. Spark plugs, maybe? Not really much.

the pullies, water pump, key for the flywheel, e-shaft, front and rear main seals, and all the internal seals are the only things that I know of that are the same.
