replacing clutch cylinders
I finally have time tommorow to replace the master and slave clutch cylinders on my FC tommorow. The only problem that I'll encounter is, which I noticed today when looking at it, is how do you take the Slave out? I'm completely lost and all the searching I have done hasn't revealed an answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
It has like two 12mm bolts doesn't it? Should pretty much just pop right off with those taken out right?
It's not connected to the shift fork, it just presses up against it if that's what you're worried about.

yea, one of those swiveling sockets makes life easy, use that so you don't strip the bolts, and the it just lifts out.
to get the line off, I just held the cyl with a big pair of channel locks and used an open end wrench to get it off.

Thanks for all the help guys. I didn't get at it today but hopefully I can tackle it tommorow after school. Hopefully the cylinders fix my problems too.
Later and thanks again for the help

yeah its no biggie. 12s under the dash, and when you get done wrenching under there you might be able to try for the circus because you will be a bonafide contortionist, same thing with ur wrists when it comes to the slave, only problem is sliding that groundwire underneath when putting it back on
what does that wire ground? because i just did mine... and it i just remembered i did not put it back. At the same time..... my Emergency Brake light had been lit since the last time my trans was out... now that it is not grounded, the light is off when it is supposed to off, and vice versa

The one thing I will say is be carfull putting those bolts back in and make sure they are on tight. My buddy stripped out his bolts and had to remove the whole tranny to fix it.

...unless of course, you want to beat my record of 3 tranny jobs in 2 weeks, on the same car!

Steve
Lol, we did that, sort of. We dropped the tranny, put it back together, put it back up, and then realized that the starter's negative cable was caught between the tranny housing and the engine. So we had to drop the tranny half way again. So 3.5 in two weeks?
