i missed that feeling too, but it should hold you in 5 times better than the stockers.

I will proabaly decide how to mount them by tomorrow, I will most likely hammer the floor at the front inner corners, then remove the spacers between seats and tracks and bolt them in.

Looks just like an APC seat with "Mazdaspeed" embroidered on it for an extra $100

I've got a couple inches between my helmet and the headliner in my sunroofless 87 base, and sitting higher lets me see the cones better when flinging the car thru them at 50 mph.

Just an update, I got my seats in, but haven't mounted them yet. Will do that shortly, and get some pics. One thing, they definately are NOT only 11 lbs each. I didnt get a chance to weigh them yet, but I would estimate more like 20-25. As for the seats themselves, they seem pretty nice. The material is a little weird, cant really explain it but feels almost like a .... felt? Something like that, maybe not as soft though. Other than that they seem pretty solid, and comfortable, yet very supportive with deep buckets and side bolsters. The side bolsters are just a tad too wide for my liking, and Im pretty stout. A very skinny person would have a bit too much room to wiggle around I think... Im pretty happy with them overall, especially for the price.

Well, I started putting the seats in today. I have the drivers side seat in, the passenger one will have to wait till another day. The good news it, that you can use the stock seat brackets. at the front of the bracket on both sides, there are 3 holes. 2 square ones, and one circular one that the stock seat bolts through. You need to drill out the outermost squarehole (as to be able to fit a bolt through it) and then the holes will line up to bolt the bracket on. The bracket will not just bolt right on then, because the linkages for the sliders stick up and hit the seat. Here you have 2 choices. 1- use some ~1/2" spacers to sit the seat away with the bracket (there are some that come on the brackets on the new seat, you could use those) , or 2- cut away a small part of the bottom of the seat on each side to make room for the linkage. I chose option 2. One reason was because with the spacers, it made it feel like I was sitting too high, and the second reason is that I didnt think of option #1 until I had already finished cutting I dont have pics at the moment, but I will soon. Im really happy once seeing them in the car, they looks very nice, and seating is comfortable and very supportive.

I'm running corbeau Forza's...they fit my frame perfectly (36 inch waist, 5 ft 11 inches) and are a feathery 16lbs. They are supportive, comfy, attractive and cheap. My only complaint is that the harness slot surrounds are made of cheap plastic...there are 2 pieces per slot that snap together but every couple of months it fell apart and I had to snap it together again. Some silicone seems to have fixed that...I wonder if the chrome ones they offer are any better.

These seats have plastic where the belts go through also. Here are some quick pics I took of the 1 I have mounted. I dont have the rear straps attached to my harness bar yet, but they will be. Well , here ya go :

And then my other just sitting , waiting to have brackets put on

*sometimes Imagestation linked pics do not show up for everyone the 1st try. Try reloading the page, or right click on the X, and select "show picture". One of those should work.*

The way I have them mounted, they are about the same as stock height. With spacers for the brackets, it will be slightly higher, obviously. Yes they seem very supportive.
