Has anyone tried the APC seats? Jegs.com had them in an ad for $149.99 ea with free shipping and we installed them in a rod project we were doing and they looked and felt good. Don't know if they will fit in a 7.

ouch... see I was perfectly happy not thinking of that. Makes you smell law suit. Some insurance company's lawyer would definatey try to use that against someone...

I just bought a set of those last week, they should be here on Tuesday. As soon as I get a chance to install them I will post pics. I liked them because they are less than 1/2 the weight of the rest of the seats in that price range, and look to have deeper buckets.

*looks in check-book*

Total was $340.99 after shipping. This is for 2 seats, and 2 harnesses. Like I said, they should be in tuesday, so I will post pics and more info then.

Who was your seller, 340 for the pair ain't bad...

Looks like the link posted is pretty decieving
1) Title says seats (plural), auction appears to be only one seat though
2) Shipping $11? phht!?
3) I couldn't deal with turning that damn wheel whenever I wanted the seat to recline :/

My seller was the same one as on the link sub9lulu
posted. Yes , the shipping price is decieving, it lists it as $11 in the ad, but at the bottom where the shipping price is listed, it is $95, which is what he charges. Still though, less than $350 shipped for a set of decent looking seats isnt bad at all. No they arent a name-brand, but as long as they hold me in, thats all Im looking for.

sport compact car did a really great review of like 75 seats, they tested support, comfort, construction, all sorts of things in all different sizes of people, you could probably order a back issue

Please let us know how they work out. I'm strongly considering these, too, as they are worth -20 lbs. of sprung weight (over base mdl. seats est. weight of 24lbs. ea), and if they are anything like other race seats / harnesses I've sat in, they will really hold you in the car during an autocross. I really like the solid black suede and shape of them.

I just bought a pair of these and just came out of the garage a little worried. With the weird slope of our floor these seats lean somewhat but the real kicker is that the height is really high, I removed the 1/2" spacers on the outside between the seats and the sliders and that seemed to balance out the lean but I am still sitting noticeably higher than stock, I looked out the windsheild on the side with the new seat sitting on my floorboard and I sat about 1.5 - 2 inches higher than factory,... I felt like a dork. Has anyone figured out how to lower the seats, or do you have to hammer down the floor rails that the factory seats sat on? I hate to think of the hammer idea but I am stumped at the moment.

P.S. These are the identical APC seats described in the first post...... but mine are blue. :-)
