replace stock boost gauge

i'm looking on ebay at boost gauges... specifically autometer... i don't know what I'm looking at. Anyone mind looking and telling me which one to buy? I don't want a 5" boost gauge or nothing, somethign small I can hide. I just have to replace my stock gauge since I'm going to be using the FCD.

52mm Mechanical boost guage. Anything else is subjective and up to taste, like style/color.....

get a 52mm boost guage(most popular size). Simple, takes 2 wires for bulb, and hook it up to a boost line.....done

I've never worked with gauges before thats why I'm hesitant. And I'm not sure what I should be looking for on ebay. But if it's as simple as you all say it is. I'll give it a shot.

I need vacuum too right?

To be honest.. I think it would be cheaper or come out to the same price, if you go to a local shop/tuner..

when you live 30 minutes from louisville... there really isn't a "local shop" to buy stuff like this from.

Stay away from the Autometer boost gauges.
They do not have a very good reputation.

ITs bs. but personally I would go with elec. I have autometer and it reads one point off from my map sensor.

Try do a web search...

Autometer boost gauges have been known to be off as much as 5psi under boost.
Some of the gauges are not even calibrated to "0"; needles have been known to not sit at "0" when not connected.

anyone who buys a mech that doesnt sit at 0 is a dumbass. But with my experience, they are off about 1 psi/inch.

I've seen them off as much as 2psi!

Well, it's hard to "take your pick" when mail order is so popular.
Returns are a pain in the ***.
