Repairing Vert Top

Anyone done this? Mine is starting to rip along the rear window.

I am thinking of a)buying black vinyl and bonding it on b)using a vinyl repair get but i think the area is too big and c) using fiberglass and bondo and then painting it black.

Autozone or Advance both sell the "Vinly repair kit" and 3M's "Trim adhesive", which is just like spray glue but works better with vinyl. You may find yourself using an underpatch, sewing with nylon, using the repair kit to eliminate any hint of seams, and using silicon sealant to ensure no leakage from the weather stripping.
