renesis and exhaust ports n stuff

Well, I was reading up about the renesis engine. It said in there that a major factor for helping efficiency and reducing emissions (and gaining low end and total power) was moving from a peripheral exhaust port to a side exhaust port. How hard would that be to do to OUR engines?! I mean, I read on monster peripheral ports where they fill in the side intake and drill in a peripheral intake, would it be too farfetched to fill in the peripheral exhaust and drill a side exhaust in? and make our intake ports 30% bigger (like on the renesis)? Consequently having to make a new header probably, but if we... n/a guys epsecially... could pull the same power... That would be cool huh.

I'm not sure but I think there would be cooling and coolant seal issues, especially in that hot part of the engine.

No not the renesis housings. They make PP housings for the 13B.

Note also the lined double wall tube header.
Note also the three sets of intake runners, and the multiple throttle bodies.
That whole package is state of the art..

true true, but still, once we FC'ers put mods on our cars, passing emissions is damn near impossible. Maybe this is something that can help remedy that, if not give us any extra power.

I thought the side exhaust port will dump fuel-rich exhaust back into the engine. That's why its more fuel efficient.

Yes, the side exhaust port will allow the unburned hydro carbons to be brought back around into the next combustion cycle by the apex seal, instead of just dumping them into the exhaust system like the rx-7 rotary engine design.
