Removing Vacuum Rac

I am in the middle of three different things right now.
Removing the vacuum rac, cleaning the 5&6th ports, and
porting the intake manifolds. I need to know what to
leave under there. So far I realize I need to leave the
following:

- vacuum hose for the OMP
- the two fuel lines, to and fro

What else do I need?

I will/do have pics and can't resize to post them, but
they would be a lot of help to the group for discussion
since there aren't many pics of this mod that I know of.

You need the FPR vacuum hose (from the FPR on the fuel rail to the Dynamic Chamber)

A Vacuum hose for the Pressure sensor that connects to the front nipple of the UIM (right above where it bolts to the LIM) (you can cap it off if you want FULL fuel pressure all the time... not reccomended)

The lines for the OMP, and to extend the 2 fuel lines. That's all you need.

You will also need to put a small piece of hose on the oil filler neck nipple. And once the vac rack is gone your cleaned aux ports might not work. I'm not too familiar with how the series 4s route air pressure but if the exhaust back pressure was routed through the vac rack before the aux port actuators then they will not work now.

The above answers my questions for the most part. Can
either one of you tell me what to do with the thing on
the TB? It kinda looks like the actuator valve and it has
2 vac nipples coming from it. Can I remove that?
Another Q about the three vac nipples on the back
side of the TB right by wear the coolant hose goes to. Just cap them or unscrew it?

Oh yeah, I took the lower manifold off and the port
valves are MIA. Surprised me, especially when I was
expecting the ******* to be in there! By the way guys
thanks for the info.

Does anyone know how much the pineapple racing
sleeves cost off the top of your head? IN NEED!

Eh, as long as the tube is open it won't smoke. When you cap it off is when you start having problems.

Having it open will make a mess in the engine bay. I suggest a catch can or a breather filter mounted low to the ground.

Can anyone answer my previous post?

Also, I called Pineapple Racing about the 6th port
sleeves and they are wanting to just send me the
inserts. I'm not a big fan about not having them in,
but I need to get my car going soon, so if I don't put
the sleeves back in then I am going to just remove
remove the arms that go into the lower intake man-
ifold. Should I find some sleeves? Of these two,
what would be in my best interest as far as HP,TQ?

What happened with the port sleeves is when I
replaced the engine I forgot to take them out. I
ended ups ending them in with the core. Noooow
I remember.

Thanks again

I realize now, after doing even more searching, that
the question about weather or not to remove the port
valves is mearly personal preference. I'm just going to
remove the arms to the port valves for better air flow,
and also so i'm not so bothered with it.

I'm still wondering about the vacuum questions, if
someone has the info i'm seeking, drop a line.

I'm not 100% sure it's what you're talking about, but check out the TB Mod, as seen on www.fc3s-pro.com
it's under tech; how-to's I believe.

The one on the Left is can be taken off, but you have to re-route the coolant line to the BAC from under the manifold, or block both lines off.

I THINK the one on the right is part of the cruise control system. I don't have it, you don't need it... unless you like to give your right foot some rest

I don't have cruise control on this car, wouldn't use
it anyway. I think it is part of the double throttle,
like a valve, oh well.

I wasn't going to do the throttle body mod but
I needed to remove those and taking those off would
require that I do the TB mod. The only thing left to
do is make a block off plate for the EGR valve and I
can put it back together. I did port the intake and
there isn't a lot that can be ported, on a S4 anyway.

Thanks
