Removing the UIM..?
Removing the UIM..?
I see there is 6 bolts/nuts holding it on, after removing those, its as tight on there as ever.. I was just wondering if its "stuck" and needed to be convinced to move. or if I need to unbolt something that i cant seem to find.
on the non turbo at least there are 5 on the pass side (theres one in the middle that you have to get with a socket extension, i missed it the first time.) and then the 2 on the driver side that can just be loosened up
3 on the driver's side: 2 for the Y-shaped bracket, than another that's pointed toward the front of the car.
Also, where the UIM meets the LIM, on the firewall side, I believe there is one bolt holding onto the hard vacuum lines.

Why would you want to take off the upper intake manifold?. I thought we only had one. Dynamic Chamber-Intake Manifold-Engine. Isn't that the order of the air entry?
Oh...unless you're carburating right?...I'm confused.

No, there are 2 manifolds on a turbo and 3 on a NA.
Lower intake then Upper intake.
On a NA there is the Dynamic chamber too which you can take off but most take it off with the UIM part.
