Removing transmission under cover (T2)

Just wondering if someone can give me some insight as to whats involved when taking off the T2 transmissions under cover. The area im referencing too can be found on 7A-26 in the S4 FSM.

I removed all the bolts holding it on and could not get it to slip off. I tried prying at it and tapping it with a hammer but had no luck. I didnt remove the drain plug but I dont think this would have any effect on it.

Any other suggestion from those who have done it? Thanks!

Its held on with RTV... you have to push a thin wedge into it.. i used a putty knife and a mallett

do it at the corners first, then the middle
