Removing tint
i wanted to remove the tint from my back hatch but i dont want to use a razor because i dont want to scratch the defroster line things and i dont want there to be a sticky residue. is there any prouducts or chemicals that will aid in getting it off without harming anything or leaving a residue? and what technique do i use to get it off?

hey man, try butane lighter fluid it works like a dream on taking strips off off cars BUT mainly the STiCKY gluey stuff. You can buy it gas stations it should be in a yellow bottle and used for zippos.
You need a warm place to work.
This works best in the summer sun (>80 degrees F).
Cut a piece of black trash bag to fit the glass.
Spray the tint film & the plastic with amonia.
Stick the wet plastic to the tint film & leave it for 30 minutes.
The film & glue layer should peel right off together

Sureshot beat me to it. That is how you do it. Don't even try it in cold weather. Even when the weather is warm, it is best to let it sit out in direct sunlight to really heat up. Peel the bag and tint off slowly. It is pretty easy but don't think that you can just rip it off in a half a second. You may have to go back and clean up some little bits here and there but hopefully not. Even if you do it isn't much.
