Removing the sub-zero start assist system

Which steps would one take removing their sub-zero start assist system? Mine is leaking coolant and never works most of the time so i figure I'll just Remove it. What needs to be blocked off when removing it and with what? Also i have my cruise control unit above it(Not working ATM also), anything i need to watch out for concerning that when I remove it?

Remove the reservoir by sliding it off the bracket after disconnecting it from the wiring harness. Follow the vacuum line to the intake manifold. Disconnect the line and plug the nipple with a cap. The system is now removed.

Yeah it does just slide off, but I think my Cruise control was in the way of something aswell (although I could be thinking of the bolts to remove the cruise control.) It's been about a years since removal for me

When plugging the nipple with a cap could one get these caps at a local auto shop and do these caps need to withstand a high degree of heat.In other words would plastic or rubber caps do the job properly.

Well I got it off yesterday. Had to take off cruise control first. Then took off the bolt that you can see above the reservoir and tryed so hard to remove it. no luck at all. Turns out theres another bolt on the side of the reservoir. That was the hard part. took me about an hour just to fight that bolt and finally get it off. Then the whole thing just came off brackets and all. plugged the cruise controll with a cap I already had and plugged the sub zero nipple with the cap that was on the T in the subzero line. Everything works great and the car runs same as before. Also I noticed that my subzero wasent even plugged into the wiring harness in the first place lol.

Took a friends off earlier and saw the braket on mine, so we just slid his off. Well more like tore it off, that thing was on there. We just blocked the nipple off with the stock cap that was on the T in the vaccum line that came off.
