removing sound material
I wanted to know the best method or substanse to remove the material that is like melted tar?
I have heard of using Dry ice, but that seems a bit expensive.
How well does gas work?

Dry ice is the bomb!! For about an hour and a half, it was my best friend in the whole world!
Don't be upset if the results aren't quite as dramatic as you might think. My entire car yielded a little over 20# of tar once I was done. But on the plus side, it looks a whole lot nicer in a race car, and you can relocate the weight elsewhere if you need to.

RE: Dry Ice
I get dry ice from a local Publix grocery store. If you do not have a publix try another national chain. 2 bags will do a car easy. 10 bucks a bag or so.
