Removing power steering on an FC GXL

Hey everyone,

I'm thinking about removing the power steering from my FC GXL. Main reason is creating room in the engine bay and loosing some weight and maybe some gain in steering precision, not sure if this applies.

What do you think, is it smart to remove it, or am I starting something I will end up regretting?

Also, any one have info on how to proceed? Do I need to get any parts of an RX7 without power steering? Any special things I need to watch out for, etc. etc.?
