removing pieces of your engine..

my air pump bracket just took a ****.

i know some of you have taken out your 6 port actuaters.

has anyone ever removed the vdi valve as well?

oh, yea. 1990, N/A

if yes, what are the effects? idle changes, hp increase/decrease.

i have a new bracket on order, just wondering the effects of removing both.

my guess is a loss of bottom end, but a high gain in top end.

Less power. Less torque. No gains.

You would definatly not want to remove the VDI maybe wire it open if you want to ditch the air pump and dont care to much for low end, but removing it would leave a chamber there that would screw up hte tune on it and make it not run right at high or low rpm.

thanks, i was just trying to make sure that i had to spend yet more $$ on this car.

do you think our cars know when we are short on cash, and thats when they break? i really think they do. like when you sit it in, it automatically knows your thoughts. now was not the time to spend even 1$, considering the price of gas and my frequent travel plans.

humbug!
