oh really? burning crankcase oil and engine sludge doesn't create carbon build-up?

Not significant amounts, no.

Keep in mind that gasoline is a hydroCARBON fuel. Most of the carbon buildup is from fuel, and significant carbon buildup really only occurs when the engine is driven like an old lady...

True "carbon lock" is actually a very rare condition in which a chunk of carbon dislodges from the face of the rotor and jams between the apex and the housing. This carbon is very dense and hard, thus causing damage to the apex seal, rotor housing or both.

Broken apex seals happen because someone did something stupid while tuning, or the apex seal grooves are out of spec (causing the seal to lean and snap lengthwise down the middle).

Seals can and of course do get stuck from excessive carbon deposits but that only really happens if the engine has been babied or has been left sitting for a long time.

For that matter, taking an engine with 100K on it and suddenly starting to premix isn't going to do anything about carbon that has already formed.

The only time, in disassembling at least a few hundred cores, that Ive seen true carbon lock was on my personal FD when I bought it.
That was from RotaryResurrection's website. That says it all from real world experience.

you know, uh they make a kit with a resvior and adapter plate so you can use 2 stroke (instead of the crankcase oil) its really neat, i think premix is rediculous, the tradeoff isnt worth it, just like removing a proper working emissions system (save for cat) on a daily driven car thats in a testing county is dumb as ****.

For those of you that do want to remove your OMP, you can do like I did and use a blockoff plate for the OMP and replace the oil injectors with flange bolts of the same thread and length and use the copper sealing washers.

You don't even need the kit. You can do it yourself.
