Removing Flywheel

I need some more tips on removing the flywheel.

I tried smacking it with a hammer and it wont budge.

Maybe im just too weak or something. Any other methods?

the onlyway is hitting it with a hammer, i wouldnt sudgest a dead blow, ive never had good results with those, just use any hammer and hit it anywhere but the friction surface and it will eventually come off, or use a puller

its on a taper, so it can be a real bitch sometimes... I used a crowbar behind it to apply some pressure to make it come off, then hit it around the clutch bolt holes with a regular metal hammer (you need to shock the metal a little, and dead-blow hammers dont really do this) til it popped off. Dont be underneath it when it comes off unless you're ready to catch it.

I don't know if you've seen this, but Mazdatrix has a very helpful tips page and video for getting the flywheel off.
