Removed AC evaporator, now blower doesn't work

Since my car has no AC and the evaporator was still sitting under the dash (big bulky thing next to the heater motor on the passenger side), I decided to remove it. There is only one small clip with 4 wires connecting to it, so I unplugged that, and removed the entire unit. It was easy enough and I didn't unplug/disconnect anything else. Now the blower motor won't work! If I turn it on, I hear the relay(s) click but it won't spin. It was always working. I pull out the evaporator and now it won't work anymore. I didn't touch anything else. Help!
if its what im thinking of then its in a plastic case thats held together with clips. i pulled that case out and popped the clips off then removed the core. put the case back together and plugged the holes left with duct tape and plugged the wires and everything back in. works fine.

I think I know what you mean, maybe I just need to plug it back in and test it out. Perhaps that 4 wire clip needs to be jumpered?
edit:
OK... for ***** and giggles I plugged the evaporator clip in, and it works! So I think that clip needs to be jumpered if I take that whole thing out?

I've got the exact same problem in a thread on here ! Clicks, but the motor won't spin unless I jumper it. I'm working on figuring it out as no one is replying, and all the other threads are quite vague.
NO, but it had been removed and then put back in for a repair by the previous owner I believe. My thread is here https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/blower-motor-not-working-but-relay-clicks-663123/
After I get back from work tomorrow, I'll work on it some more. I think I know what might be bad. If you have to jumper the same wires as shown in the picture, my solution would more likely work for you.

Ahhh I just saw your thread.
Your connector looks different than mine, but that just may be because our cars are different years/models (I have an 87TII)? I wonder what it takes to make this work without requiring this big bulky mess to remain plugged in.

I think that whatever you guys have going on is S4 specific because I just removed my S5's AC last week and didn't have to keep any wiring nor jumper anything for the blower motor to work.
Good luck.
Good luck.
