Remove dash for middle boot replacement?

Question Remove dash for middle boot replacement?

The larger middle boot is bolted to the tranny with 4 bolts...... the top two are no problem... need to remove the dash to get to the other two? I cant get a wrench or socket on them babies....

No you don't have to remove it, just use a 1/4 socket wrench (a adj adapter will be even better). I've done it several times with a 1/4 socket wrench and a small extension

He's talking about the bottom boot on the shifter, held on by 4 10mm bolts. The bolt heads are very close to the insides of the dash.

Solution: 10mm wrench, or as suggested already, 1/4" ratchet with 10mm socket.
