Remove the clear plastic cover on a gauge cluster????

Does anyone have any ideas/tricks to remove the clear plastic face on the stock gauge clusters? It looks like they are glued in, and a heat gun doesn't seem to work very well.

once you have the guage cluster out there are little tabs that you push in (4 of them) with a screwdriver or somethin and it pops right off

Yeah...on mine it had the tabs and the glue. I tried to get mine off to clean in there but it started to crack so I just left it alone. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Oh..i thought you meant, seperate the clear plastic part from the thin black plastic ATTACHED to it..

There are 5 (i think 5...maybe 4) screws in the back of the cluster that hold that front cover on.

check out:

On the second picture, you can see those three white tabs with holes in them at the bottom.. That's what you want to unscrew.
