Remove A/C, or not?

Well my A/C hasnt worked in my car since Ive owned it (2+ years), and cant deside if I want to fix it or just rip the system out. Basically alls I want to know is if there will be any noticable increase in performance with it removed. I figure the whole system is maybe 50lbs max, and then the drag of the compressor pulley. When I remove all these things, will I be able to notice even a slight difference? If I wont really be able to, Im just gonna fix it so I can have A/C. It just needs charged(might have a o-ring leak somewhere, but no big deal). So what do you think, keep it or rip it out?

There is almost no drag from the pulley when the system is turned off so all you will do is get rid of 50 lbs.

Hey if you want a/c just roll down your windows. I ripped the ac out of my fc. It will clear some space out under the hood, and since you been going without the ac so far you wont have anything to miss besides the weight of the ac.

Leave it in. I'm in NJ and the summers are hot. Had mine out Saturday with the air on....GREAT. You'll never notice an increase HP with the removal of 50Lbs. That equals about 8 gal of gas.....Just ride around with a 1/2 tank of gas. If you ever want to resell the car, it could make a difference in the price.

That won't lower the humidity; A/C will. Auckland summers can get really humid, so I'd never remove mine. Plus nothing defogs windows quicker than A/C. I like being able to clear my windows in less than 10 seconds, even on a cold engine!
