removal of split air pipe intake to cat

Hey guys I'm in need of a new exhaust and everywhere I see there's nowhere to connect the split.air pipe in the after market exhaust!

I figure u don't need it so how do you go about removing it, sealing it And/or relocating it properly?

More information as we're sitting blind here.

Are you still running a cat?

S4, S5?

What aftermarket exhaust you running?

Pictures are always helpful.

The spit air pipe puts air into the cat to keep it from burning up. If you've got no cat, then you don't need the split air pipe. Pretty sure you can just leave it be.

Still don't know what exhaust to get! My car came wit headers with an outlet of 3" and two bolts. Everywhere I look I find sets wit downpipes of 3bolts but I'm assuming it bolts to the manifold because the other end is a 2bolt. I'm just wondering if the downpipe is longer, shorter were the rest of the exhaust doesn't match the body's hangers when bolted to my headers!

Doing research with you guys and online to better determine the best exhaust for my fc

Turbo downpipes = 3 bolts.
NA downpipes = 2 bolts.

Fitment depends on brand of header. Unless you can identify the brand, can't tell you what is going to fit.

"Best" depends on your personal limits for noise, cost, and the need to squeeze out every last hp your engine has to give.

Go Racing Beat for sure.

Yeah they are expensive but they are worth it. I don't mind my Corksport exhaust, but I wish I had saved up for the RB.

so i havent taken down the cat intake pipe just left it open and ziptied in place while i went with the M2 motorsport single exhaust. bolted fine to the racing beat headers but didnt align right with the cars exhaust area making it hard to hang by its rubber hangers. other then that she sounds nice and has regained hp.
