Question remote sunroof

I just installed window modules in my car. 1 closes the window when i arm the alarm and the othe closes the sunroof. A problem that I thought i would run into is that it would not turn off when the sunroof is al the way closed. Well come to find out it does exatly that. How do I get it to stop cranking the sunroof motor after the sunroof is closed.

If your autoclose module is the same as mine, there will be reed switches mounted in the door frame amd small magnets on the bottoms of the glass mounts to actuate these reed switches. If so. when the window reaches the fully closed position, these reed switches actuate and shut down the autoclose module. On my car, when one of these reed switches failed, the autoclose module detected the increased load on the window motor as the window reached the end of its travel as an object jamming the window and auto-opened the window (a safety feature in case someone tries to close the window on their hand !). If this is how your system works, then you will need to find out where to mount a reed switch in the roof panel and a magnet on the sunroof so that when the sunroof fully closes, the autoclose module shuts down the motor. If your system doesn't work like this, I'm afraid that I don't know how to overcome your problem.

Hope that this helps.

Best wishes

Peter

the funny thing is that it says it has a Programmable load resistance circuit. There nothing to program it and theres nothing but wires coming out of it, no switchs or **** of any kind. I dont think this thing is programmable. it doesnt say anything in the manual about it.
