reinstalling lower intake manifold
I'm putting my 87 T2 back together, and my RWS basic kit does not include two o-rings that look like should go around the coolant pass through between the LIM and the engine.
According to the haynes there should be o-rings here, but I don't have them, nor do I see any old ones laying around from when I pulled it apart, I'm using RTV to seal the manifold, should I just trust that to seal the pass through or wait for an o-ring to arrive?

what "flavor" of RTV are you using? Hi-temp red should work good, I've even used black & grey on gasket surfaces at cooling passages with no prob...wouldn't use white, though...
