Redline and then some

This is the first time I have had an RX-7 so I am not to sure how it handles the "beating". But I went past redline to about 7500 RPMs. I have heard from people that these cars can easily rev higher than that but I really don't need to break my car right now...so my question is did I hurt my car by doing this or will it be fine.

That is fine to do every once in a while. It can actually help your motor clear out some carbon deposits. But this should be something you do every once in a while not like 10 times every time you go out and drive. As long as you don't do it all of the time you are completly fine. Actually with the mods in my car, it has shifted the power band up in the rpm range, so that when i am driving hard i go to about 7800.

yea it's fine. My max HP is past redline due to mods so I always bring it to 7500-7800 when driving hard.
