Recommend me a muffler!

Hi! I'm starting on my exhaust soon, and my end plan is RB header-->2.5" straight pipe-->Muffler.

Please recommend me a muffler that sounds nice, but isn't very loud. I know straight pipe will be loud as **** so I'd like something to keep that quiet a bit.

Thanks!

racing beat mufflers. Very good quality and great sounding is the concensus though some people may say there are heavier then other systems.

Are they a baffle-less design? (straight through)

I put a silicone line with a dipstick in the tip and it went in all the way to the back. I am pretty sure they are straight.

That sounds like it would fit my application. Anybody use this muffler? I want something beefy that isn't too quiet when i floor it (ie i want it to ROAR similar to the way it does now; straight pipe, 1 resonator, currently)

I take It no one Is using Brullen's Mufflers. I see them more on FD's than FC's.

They are awesome In construction, lighter than RB's, ss, wool packed and have a good throaty tone thats distinct to other Mufflers...

Yes I do. www.brullenexhaust.com They are so versatile, that I plan on using them for my upcoming FMIC project.

Btw, a pic can be found of my car In the photo gallery before my many mods and s5 tail lights that are not shown In the pic.

I have magnaflow on mine, I have dual with striaght through 3 inch exhaust. I get commets on it, you stand behind my car and it and you can feel it in your chest. I think it sounds bad ***, nice and deep.

headers to 2.5" pipe to single magnaflow? thats like what silkworm uses on his track FC...and his car was too loud to run on Laguna Seca like that (exceeded their loudness db limit). He had to use a supertrapp to quiet it down.

If you are not annoyed with loud exhaust, I would go with Magnaflow. This is what I have on my car and it sounds deep. But they are too loud for me so I am putting a resonator with it.
