Question RECENTLY BOUGHT A 1990 RX n/a

ok the car has no drive train....... well my question is......
i have a 1987rx n/a and id like to just swap my engine into the 1990... ok i know engine harnesses are different . id like to put my 87 harness along with ecu in with the 87 engine into the 1990. well how can i go about putting my s4 engine into the s5 with no probs... ?
will i need to rewire any thing? swap male and female clips and rewire anything? again id just like to throw my s4 engine into the s5 car and would just like to know what HAS to be done.... thanks again

^^ also..... what model is it ? red with blk int. power mirrors which i think they all came with/ manual windows/no fog lights/5spd.... do i need to say n e thing else? sunroof !lol thanks

Okay, let me say this. You can swap your S4 motor into your S5 car, but its not going to be fun.

OK THANKS J-RAT BUT THAT LIL TECH tip did not tell me fully how to put a s4 engine in a s5 car.....i want to use a s4 block/intake(for now)/harness/ecu....etc.

any one have some key tips on doing this?

The reason nobody is responding is, its a TON of work to swap that S5 car over to an S4 ECU. I dont quite think you understand the task at hand. Just putting the S4 engine in is hard enough, then getting an S5 car onto an S4 ECU?
