Recaro low seat bracket for fc? Any low seat bracket?

Man, does anyone make a low seat bracket for this thing before i go and make my own?

I have a recaro pole position, with the recaro steel side brackets. Do any of you know of any LOW mounting seat brackets for the fc chassis? I dont really need some slide around dealies if theres an option. Meaning, FIXED position is fine if need be..

Im 6'4'' and cant really be sticking my head out of the sunroof.

Thanks in advance.

If you don't need adjustment, then just weld some square tubing to the stock crossmembers and bolt the seat on directly.

Or if you need to go lower, cut out the crossmembers and bolt directly to the floor. Weld a 1/4" plate to the underbody at each bolt hole.

They are available from places like Bride, but for a lot more then $100.

Edit...Oh, and all the aftermarket brackets mount the seat higher then the FC stock seat. The stock seats have a mounting area that is recessed into the seat. Most aftermarket seats have mounting flanges that stick out at least an inch more.

Care to share your source? I need to put a one-piece into my car for track work, and I've never seen a Bride rail kit for $65...

Corbeau makes a rail for the FC. If your seat is a side mount then you can run them. And they're less than $100.

Since the original poster threw a tantrum and is now banned, this thread is being closed. It's unlikely he will ever provide any useful information as to where he purchased the brackets. It was most likely an eBay source, which may or may not be available in the future.

For anyone reading this topic, the best consistent price I have been able to find via some Google searching is $175 US for these brackets. Search Google for "bride FC seat mounts" and it's the first hit as of right now. The URL is huge so I'm not going to post it and it relies on session variables to show you the page.

Ah hell, I'm going to reopen the thread just for my own amusement so I can throw in this picture of my car. This verges on the inappropriate so if any mod has an issue with this, feel free to close the thread and I won't care too much.

Looks like I really need to update my sig though...I got totally owned on my old one.

I find it hilarious when somebody tries to own somebody by posting pictures of the person like they "hacked" them to own them. Idiots. How long was the ban for? I hope you did 10 days. lol

*looks at length of ban*

I was right.

OK, amusement over. I think it's now pretty tasteless to keep this thread around so I'm cleaning and closing it.
