Rebuilt engine identification.
I was just working under the hood of my car, and I noticed that between the front rotor housing and intermediate housing that there was some sort of high temp sealant. I was just wondering if Mazda used any specific color of sealant on the factory engines, If any at all. I suspect that the motor that is in my car currently may be a rebuild. All the other factory motors that I have seen in other peoples cars did not have any visable signs of this sealant, so I was just wondering if this could be a sign of a rebuilt motor. I know that this is kind of a vague question, but i used to be able to look at a Honda motor and tell you if it had been rebuilt solely on the color and placement of the sealant used.
thanks.
thanks.

Ok cool. This thing has almost 180k on it now, and still runs like a raped ape. Im gonna check for that tag or stamp. i'll be pleasantly surprised if I find out it's been rebuilt recently. Thanks for the info guys.
