What is require to rebuild a manual rack? It feels like there is a bit of slop in the rack. More specifically, some side to side movement, without the steering wheel being turned/moved.

Besides replacing the balljoints on the ends, can the innards of the rack be reuilt? What is involved? Is there a kit, or must I send it out to a pro?
