Rebuild Tips!?
Rebuild Tips!?
Okay, so I got another motor to rebuild... this one is gonna be my high HP motor :-D... unfortunately, part of the rebuild might have to wait if things don't "go my way"..
Anyway, I'm planning on shooting for 400RWHP for a (almost) DD car. Basically its a rice killer, that needs to haul some ***. What all should I do to the internals besides some Atkins A'pex's and FD corner seals? (basically the Atkins overhaul kit...)
Also, this car is na/turbo.

streetport and port the exhaust housings. Some people upgrade the oiling system, but i have never heard many complaints about it failing on a stock system. I would use an RA kit as well, rather then an atkins. Thats just preference though.

By the time you get done working your NA motor, it's going to be a turbo motor.
The only advantage you have is the higher compression ratio rotors - which some will argue is a disadvantage.
Get rid of that NA motor to someone who needs it.
13B NA engines are gettins scarce, and Mazda stopped making parts for them officially.
J-spec 13BT's are cheap and easily available.
If you want 400hp, don't waste your time with an NA.
