Alright i so long story short; i was driving my car, made a bang and now no compression on the rear rotor. I'm getting ready to pull the engine and start disassembling the engine but wanted to know if there were any upgrades while rebuild like using a Cosmo or FD eccentric shaft, and/or would it be worth spending some money on 3mm rotors? I've already purchased new housings anyways but wanted any advice on which parts or steps in taking for this rebuild.

 

I would start by figuring out what you want power wise and then what you are willing to do to get it.

One thing to look at is porting.

Try searching the internet and the forums. You will find lots information. 3mm doesn't have much benefit. But if your rotors are out of spec, it's probably cheaper than getting new. good luck

 

thanks guys, here are the plans that i have for this rebuild:

S4 T2 "good" used housings (just ordered) Ported
FD 9.0-1 rotors
Street Ported Irons
HKS F-CON piggyback
BNR stage 3 turbo

Would it be more beneficial if i piggybacked my rteck 1.7 off the hks or would it be fine running with a stock ecu?Then, what kind of injectors would i run? Stay with the 720/550 setup or bigger?

 

any other idea's guy's?
