Rebuild been sitting for a month! change oil or nah?

hey guys i rebuilded the engine myself (vegeta6263), and installed all new parts on my 88 N/A, except for the starter and the alternator. Hopefully the car will start again this week, if it does should i change the oil? its been sitting dead for a month the engine is fine and the rebuild has 1200 miles on it 600 are highway and the other 600 are city, i did an oil change and filter change 200 miles right before the car died.. but i dont know.. should i replace the oil anyways or should it be okey?

yes, the oil filter and the oil. This is a new rebuild, and how well you take care of it now will be a big determining factor in the life of the engine later on.

The $12-15 you spend on changing the oil now could be $100-600 you spend regaining lost power/time for a new rebuild later.
