No. Use the existing rotors. Very little point in going to S5.

FD rotors are the same as S5 TII.

S5 TII rotors are .5 LBs lighter and have 9.0 compression instead of 8.5. But if you have a good set of S4 rotors, then there's no point going to S5 for the marginal improvement. You would also have to change the counterweight and flywheel.

From: Kissimmee Fl,
yea bcuz the previous owner of my TII had rebult the engine and put FD rotors in with S5 counterweights and an S5 flywheel. so i was wondering if there was any real advantage to this?

Really no advantage since FD rotors are pretty much the same as s5 TII rotors. Same weight, same compression (9.0), and thats why one could use an s5 TII flywheel and s5 TII counterweight.

Other than that I'd say it pretty much comes down to what compression u would want to use with your setup. Back in the day when i was all motor, i had s5 N/a rotors, and s5 N/A flywheel/counterweight combination in s4 n/a motor. This has its advantages for all motor since it has the lighter rotors with the HIGHEST compression!
