rear suspension bushing replacemnt
do you have to drop the whole subframe to do this?
whenever i go over a chuckhole in the road with the passanger side of my car the rear suspension makes a sound similar to if you swatted a spring door stopper in your house, just slower sounding. tuh da da da da....as it gets quieter.
It also makes the car dance around enough that its gonna make me crash eventually. im not sure which bushing it really is, if its the LCA where it attaches to the subframe or to the hub but can you do teh bushing that attaches the LCA to the subframe without dropping subframe?
basically, can you do it in car without too much cursing and flying tools?

to do the rear control arm bushing, the subframe needs to be lowered enough so you can get the bolt out. you may as well take the subframe out at that point.
the rear hub bushings can be done on the car, basically all you need to to is remove the wheel, and brakes.
its unlikely that a rubber bushing would make a steel spring type noise, you might want to poke your head under there and look for other loose/broken stuff

perhaps the shock is blown? I would definitely pull both rear wheels off and see whats wrong if 1 side is normal u can probably start juggling or closely inspecting things to see which side appears loose or messed up.
the noise could even be your ehxuast bouncing around clanking into something?
but if the handling is adversely effected something could be dangerously wrong...
